Kenyan Model,Malaika Firth,for Prada A/W 2013 campaign

Whether we like it or not, racial discrimination does exist in the International modeling industry. Take Prada as an example...the last time any black model was used for their campaigns was 1994...the year Malaika Firth was born....and the last time they used a black model on the runway was 1993 (Naomi Campbell). Almost twenty years later is when we see another black model for their brand...(That is,if you consider Malaika Firth as a black model)
Malaika Firth is a UK raised and based Kenyan model who started her career in 2011. She is only 19years old and 5'9 tall

She walked the Prada Milan Resort show....

Malaika is now seen as the new Naomi Campbell by many fashion followers, since she started modeling at 16years of age like Naomi..was discovered by Carole White who also discovered Naomi Campbell....and Malaika has just taken the rains of Ms Campbell's at the Prada brand.
I hope this is a step towards incorporating black models in prestigious fashion brands...would love to see the likes of Herieth Paul,Ajak Deng,Flaviana Matata and many other BLACK models in Prada,Chanel,Christian Dior etc....What happened to the cry for racial diversity?!
Congrats to Malaika for this huge gig...the future is all smiles for this young lady...

PS: African models...this day will come, have faith.
