When Fashion meets REAL Individuals- Lanvin A/W 12/13

If you take a regular guy from the streets of Dar es Salaam and let him watch a fashion show for any designer in the world...one thing you can observe is the detachment from the clothes displayed to the individual who is watching. Mostly because of the unreality between the models used....and the regular guy from the streets of Dar es Salaam.....

One fashion house made my day, today! Their new Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 collection ad is full of Individuals who fit the personalities of regular sister, mother, aunt, grandma etc...of our societies... Am talking about,Lanvin Paris!
The campaign involved models of ages between 18-80....and i love it!!As you can see...the peplum dress is still trending :)
Watch the mix of those color shades....
She is 60yrs old and still rocking it!!
Are your eyes glued to the shoes,as mine!!? I stand to be corrected,BUT doesn't that blazer/jacket look exactly like what Tanzanian singer Diamond wore for Kili Awards??
Need I say more? Even my dad can relate to this!
Ladies....look at those shoes and share with us what you think...can you choose them over CLs?
Now....she is 82yrs old....and still has everything on the right places...at the right angle!rocking a peplum navy green dress, you gotta looove this woman! Her name is Jacqueline Murdock...former Apollo dancer :))

So,there you have it...my dear designers...once in a while, give us the Individuals that we can connect with, and feel like we can wear any piece in your collection!
