Dear Designers.....

Draya Michele from The Basketball Wives reality TV program is one of the best dressed ladies I have been following on media...and recently, she did not disappoint as she rocked this African print design by Preme Houston.
The hot pants and crop top made of Kitenge material looked amazing on her...especially with the nude pump heels she mixed with...
Shopping at Barney's...Draya carried her stuffs back to the car...And that is when it HAPPENED!...the clip holding her top from the back, let loose!
Leaving most of her assets open to the world...Draya had a wardrobe malfunction :(.... Now,why is this post dedicated to designers? Especially Tanzania and East African designers?....

This has happened to many other people that I know of,right here in Tanzania. There are three things I would like to address, for our designers to grasp.

1. The cheap zipper: Many of Tanzanian designers use very cheap zippers that end up doing similar issues like the above.
2. The back clipper/hook: There is that hook/clipper that is usually inserted where the zipper ends,to hold the dress/top in place and tight. This detail lacks in almost all Tanzanian designer pieces.....
3. Extra/spare buttons. One thing I have noticed in many of our designer pieces, there is no spare buttons...thus,in case you get a wardrobe malfunction and you loose the buttons, that's it for your outfit!

I hope this assists in any way...

xoxo
