Batch One: From Kili Music Awards 2013

An intervention is needed...no doubt! After all the talk and advise on what is expected as per the KTMA 2013 theme, people still disappointed on the red carpet. Kikwetu Kwetu means you wear something of Tanzania or Africa's origin...something from HOME...but all i saw was Chinese versions of Vera Wang, H&M, and other brands that are only known at Kariakoo. Anyhow...there are few who made our night, those who adhered to the theme are all part of the BEST DRESSED of the event.
On this first batch of images...Monica leads by looking gorgeous in an Eve Collection number. The detailing is perfect, the dress hugging her curvy body, and her minimal accessories make it well presented
Below: Fina Mango is all elegant in yet another Eve Collection design...rocking Tanzania's colors of Green and Black, she looked spectacular!..I love the hair too...

For the gentlemen....It was impossible not to notice Tanzanian Male Model,Pedaiah...
He rocked his own design, the PSJ Couture..and we love it!

This lady was all couture in an African print dress that had sequin draping...

"Man-Water" ...or maybe Man-Walter...not sure of the name, but am very sure that his Khanga shirt was on point for the occasion. No wonder he won the award too :)...On the right is Mario, doing justice to brown  leather

Afande Sele,Tanzanian hip hop artist with quite a brand of his own...well,beside his shoes...he was all Tanzania and African...with a hint of Jamaican...lol

These two beautiful ladies were on point! The colors, the accessorising, make-up...just brilliant

Humble, shy and beautiful...That's what this lady showed us on the red carpet...looking classy

Apart from the lady in blue...the rest from here down....you are in trouble.

Tayana was dressed by Rio Paul. That makes it even worse...Rio Paul is a stylist who knows very well the importance of looking perfect for an event...We give you a pass because Rio is a Tanzanian designer,so...Kikwetu kwetu...however,he definitely didn't do us justice with that dress,we expected more

Among designers that rocked the night by dressing many people,is Sheria Ngowi. B Dozen was one of the celebrities dressed in Sheria Ngowi suits....yes,the designer is Tanzanian,so...we give it a pass.

This is tricky.... Are leopard prints,African?...I think so...BUT...skeptical,especially with the mustard yellow shoes.

 No comment....

Dah...Amini,i liked the blazer, but only if you were on the stage performing...not for red carpet./....Emelda and hubby looked amazing.....however....

Irene Kiwia and her friend looked dashing in red....however....

Luiza Mbutu did a major transformation from last year's debacle, and we love the change...however.....

 The gentlemen,Izzo B,Quick Rocca ...fresh like....ahem! Bow ties,straight jackets,on point!...However......

Aunt Asya Idarous rocked leopard prints while her hubby did jeans...the ladies on the right,well...just not for this event....

Mike....first time on M.P Blog and i have to say,you look smart! ...however.......
It was disheartening to see that, only LESS THAN 20%  of all attendees of Kili Awards adhered to the theme...something went wrong somewhere....

Anyway,i will let my views be known...that is,after we see the remaining batch of images....

Stay right here
