Thrifting 101

It's about time i confess that i love thrifting and all about thrifting life. So i thought today i will find the definition (because why not?)

So According to wikipedia  this is how they defined it,
      "the act of shopping at a thrift store, flea market, garage sale, or a shop of a charitable organization, usually with the intent of finding interesting items at a cheap price".

Couldn't agree more!

Whenever we talk of thrifting Its impossible not to mention places like Mwenge, Ilala, Ubungo and so many others that cater our thrifting needs. But first things first...

Why i like thrifting

1. It's Cheap
  I don't know about you, but every one wants to save their money and so am i!! If i get an option to get good clothes and stuff for less money, that's what i am going to do

2. You never know what you will find
Every thrift store and market have an overflowing potential and the excitement you get when you enter it's really thrilling. There are endless possibilities and of course endless questions. Moreover you will find things you didn't know you needed.

3. Easy to create your own style
As there are many possibilities its easy to create your style and find affordable clothing to define your style without breaking the bank.

4. Save money $$$
I already mentioned this but it is a very important reason as to why you should start thrifting. Clothes cost a lot of money and they always seem as never enough. Simple solution is to start thrifting

5. And so may other reasons you could think of....


You are probably thinking that i am very busy, where do i get the time to roam around to find these treasures and trust me i can relate to that as i barely find time myself, But thank god for social media as we now can connect very easy with people and businesses.
