Award winning pan African Fashion designer Mustafa
Hassanali, has caught the Royal eye. The Tanzanian Fashion Guru will be one of
the guests among other international designers from across the Commonwealth, in
the most prestigious fashion event at the Buckingham Palace this month
celebration design excellence.
Mustafa Hassanali,
has received an unexpected invitation to attend the celebration of Commonwealth
Fashion Exchange at Buckingham Palace on 19thFebruary , in the
presence of The Royal Highness Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Elizabeth
Mountbatten-Windsor (Kate Middleton) and Sophie Countess of Wessex .
“It is such a great honor and prestige to be invited
by the master of the Household on the command of Her Majesty to this
prestigious event hosted at Buckingham palace to celebrate fashion from all
commonwealth countries. It truly reiterates the fact that Yours truly work and
dedication to Tanzania Fashion industry is Globally accepted and recognized.

He added “I am grateful that, over years, I have become the
change in the fashion industry that I desired to see, as late American President
John F Kennedy said, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can
do for your country. I have founded and organized East and Central
Africa Largest Fashion platform Swahili Fashion Week & Awards over past ten
years and of recent been a founding member of Fashion Association of Tanzania
which I currently chair all aimed at building and nurturing Tanzania fashion
industry and its talent”
Mustafa Hassanali contribution to fashion in Tanzania and
Africa as a whole hasn’t gone unnoticed. Rwandair , The national Airline of
Rwanda have facilitated his travel so that he can experience the dream
of Africa to London Gatwick onboard their State of Art Airbus
A330-300 series.

Hassanali to attend this world class commonwealth fashion reception at

The Commonwealth Fashion Exchange will see 52 designers and
artisans from differing Commonwealth countries collaborating to create a
one-of-a-kind sustainable outfit, which will be exhibited at a reception at
Buckingham Palace with the aim of utilizing the commonwealth and through the
potential of the artisan fashion trade, can have a positive impact on female
empowerment and poverty reduction.
